Revise the Dialogue

After listening to a dialogue, groups modify it: add a character, change the setting, write an alternative ending.

Procedure

1. Students listen to a dialogue.
2. Groups choose a modification: add a third character, change the setting, add a conflict, or write an alternative ending.
3. Rewrite the modified dialogue.
4. Rehearse.
5. Perform the revised version for the class.

Tips

• Changing the setting (restaurant → spaceship) forces creative language adaptation while maintaining the original communicative functions.
