Dialogue Build

Class co-constructs a dialogue on the board, then performs it from memory as words are erased.

Procedure

1. Build a dialogue on the board line by line with the class using picture prompts.
2. Students practise in pairs, reading from the board.
3. Erase a few words; students practise again, filling gaps from memory.
4. Continue erasing until the board is empty.
5. Pairs perform the full dialogue from memory.

Tips

• Erase function words first (articles, prepositions) — content words serve as memory anchors longer.
