Teams write tough questions about a text and challenge the opposing team.
Procedure
- Divide class into two teams.
- Each team gets the same text (or different halves).
- Teams write 5-8 challenging questions about the text.
- Teams alternate asking questions; points for correct answers.
- Discuss any disputed answers with text evidence.
Tips
- Encourage questions that require inference, not just surface recall.
- "Why did the author..." beats "What colour was..."
