Procedure

  1. Adapt a text into a multi-voice script (or use dialogue-heavy text as-is).
  2. Assign roles within small groups.
  3. Groups rehearse: read through multiple times, focusing on prosody.
  4. Mark scripts for stress, pauses, and expression.
  5. Perform for the class — no costumes or memorisation needed.

Tips

  • The repeated rehearsal is where fluency develops — the performance is just the motivation.
  • Each re-read is smoother, faster, and more expressive.
